ABOUT MIN

Hi, I'm Min Cho.
I'm a film director and editor from Korea, passionate about telling stories that blend queer, sci-fi, and horror genres—often through a distinctly Korean lens. I believe filmmaking is about pushing boundaries and creating work that lingers with audiences, whether through emotionally resonant narratives or bold visual storytelling.

Last year, I’ve had the opportunity to edit trailers for the New York Asian Film Festival. This year, I worked on the trailer highlighting films from Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Taiwan, expanding my editing experience across a range of styles and tones. I also served as a Shorts Programmer, curating a program of short films for the festival—an experience that deepened my appreciation for storytelling in its most condensed, powerful form.

Originally trained in screenwriting in Korea, I’ve written four feature-length scripts exploring a wide spectrum of themes and characters I hope to bring to life. More recently, I’ve felt a growing pull toward editing—fascinated by its creative potential and the power of shaping stories in post.

Whether I’m directing or editing, I’m always looking for ways to challenge conventions and offer fresh, resonant perspectives. When I’m not working on films, I’m watching them—always in search of the next spark of inspiration.
